Welcome to our weekend conversation!


In our Lit Mag Chat session this past week, a writer asked about getting blurbs. She has a poetry chapbook coming out soon and is thinking about whom she might ask.

Most of you likely already know what a blurb is. Just in case: Blurbs are quotes from critics and fellow writers that appear on a book’s jacket, in order to sell the book to a potential reader.

Sometimes they can be a little, shall we say, overwrought.
