Hello, friends. Are you having a good week? I hope your Wednesday is not as hot, sticky, sleep-deprived, manic, fraught and filthy as mine! (Long story.)
Anyway, this is just a note to confirm the date of our upcoming Lit Mag Chat. Those of you who voted on your preference, thank you! The majority prefers Friday, September 1st at 2:30 pm est, so we will go ahead with that. If you’ve already registered for the event, you should have received an email telling you of the day and time.
As a reminder, this Lit Mag Chat will be a laid-back space for us to all get together and talk about lit mags. You can ask any questions you have about specific magazines, seek ways to find markets for certain kinds of work, discuss when or if to follow up with editors, or talk about anything at all. Venting, ranting, laughing and generally having a good time are highly encouraged.

Also, while we’re here, I thought I would give you all a sneak peek of the line-up for our 2023-2024 Lit Mag Reading Club!
If you don’t already know about the club, it’s basically like a book club, but for lit mags. Participants typically get a 15-20% discount on the month’s lit mag. We take the month to read it. Then the journal’s editor(s) and contributors to that issue are invited to zoom in and answer questions at the end of the month.
It’s a great way to push yourself to read more lit mags, support lit mags, support Lit Mag News, and to hear exclusive interviews with experienced journal editors.
You can learn more about the club here:
