Lit Mag Reading Club Chat: STORY #14
A conversation with Story Editor Michael Nye & contributors to issue 14
Hello and TGIF!
I just wrapped up the final interview of this scary, spooky month. Don’t worry—the conversation was neither spooky nor scary. In fact, it was terrific fun!
In today’s chat, we spoke with Story Magazine Editor Michael Nye as well as three contributors to the summer issue. Michael told us about what he looks for in the stories he reads, how the pieces came together for this particular issue, and took us more deeply into the decision process behind some of the stories.
We also got to hear from writers Susan Shepherd, Matthew Pitt and Marya Brennan about their own writing and submissions processes, and what went into creating the work here.
It was quite interesting and good times were had by all! (I hope.)
To everyone who came out to watch the video, thanks so much for tuning in! And thanks to Michael, Susan, Matthew, and Marya for joining us today.
This video is available now for members of the Lit Mag Reading Club, aka paying subscribers. So if you’d like to take a look go on and sign up to join the fun today. (Here’s a schedule of more upcoming readings and interviews.)
Happy viewing!
