Welcome to our weekend conversation!

Recently I came upon a book advertisement on my Kindle. The ad was for the Colleen Hoover novel It Ends with Us. I typically ignore the book ads that show up on my Kindle as they are so often for books wildly far afield of what I like to read. A popular romance novel is no exception to that rule.

In this case, however, I found myself intrigued. Colleen Hoover is not just popular. She is mega-over-the-top super-obsessive-fandom-next-level beloved. I had not quite realized how passionately adored she was until I clicked the ad for her book and decided to look at the reviews.

Oh. My. Word.
