Save the Dates! March Editor Interviews & Info Sessions

litmagnews.substack.com

March is here! And with this wondrous new month comes all new interviews and information sessions. Here is what lays ahead.

Thursday, March 9th at 11:00 am est: Q & A with Catherine McNamara, Flash Fiction Editor of Litro Magazine

Catherine McNamara
Catherine McNamara

“Founded in 2005, Litro sits at the intersection of technology, the creative arts & literature. It provides a forum for new & experimental writing, whilst nurturing literary development.

Litro publishes works by first time authors through to Nobel laureates. It is self-selecting for people with an interest in literature, culture, and innovation, providing readers with an intellectual escapism, a perfect read for those with busy lives. The Litro World Series editions encourage cross-cultural conversations and spark interests in diversity and inclusion.”

This interview is open for all to attend and ask questions. It will be recorded and available for all afterward.

Friday, March 10th at 2:30 pm est: Submissions Q & A with Becky

In this fun but informative one-hour session, we will talk all about the submissions process and answer all your submitting questions. Not sure what to make of that lit mag that takes four years to respond to submissions? Don’t know where to send your latest experimental flash fiction pony dog essay poem hybrid? Feeling generally blah and need a burst of mojo, encouragement and support? Not a problem.

This session will not be recorded. What happens in Submissions Q & A stays in Submissions Q & A.

Info sessions are for paying subscribers only. So if you are not yet a subscriber and you’d like to attend, go on and hit that red button.

Sunday, March 19th at 2:30 pm est: Submissions Study Hall with Becky

Have you been telling yourself for a very long time that you will start sending out work for publication…and yet somehow you have not yet sent work out for publication?

This study hall is designed for you. In this one-hour session, participants will focus on sending writing out once and for all. You will work independently, though we will all be there to answer any questions and shower you with virtual confetti as you click Submit.

This session will not be recorded. What happens in Submissions Study Hall stays in Submissions Study Hall.

Info sessions are for paying subscribers only. So if you are not yet a subscriber and you’d like to attend, go on and hit that red button.

Wednesday, March 22nd at 2:30 pm est: Q & A with Matthew Pearl, Founding Editor of Truly*Adventurous

Matthew Pearl

“Truly*Adventurous is a digital magazine built with reckless faith in the power of true storytelling. Think of us as a storytelling laboratory. We commission original works from the best nonfiction writers working today and distribute them here and in partnership with great publications. Truly*Adventurous accepts pitches for longform, character-driven nonfiction work.”

This interview is open for all to attend and ask questions. It will be recorded and available for all afterward.

Friday, March 24th at 11:30 am est: Q & A with Arielle McManus, Assistant Creative Nonfiction Editor of Atlas + Alice

Arielle McManus

“A&A takes its name from the ATLAS and ALICE experiments at the Large Hadron Collider at CERN…We like things that meet, conjoin, dance, rebound, explode. Bring two things together; see what happens. Among our favorite intersections are pieces that resist genre classification (think prose poems, think flash fiction, think _______), crossovers between the arts and sciences, opposites attracting, likes repelling, anything that confronts and, in confronting, reveals. Think of the weird image you see of yourself in the mirror. (Ugh, how disturbing.) But who cares about our definition of intersection. We want to learn about yours.”

This interview is open for all to attend and ask questions. It will be recorded and available for all afterward.
