My dear pals, I come with good news and less-than-perfect news.
The good news is that I have secured discounts to the current issue of Sewanee Review for our Lit Mag Reading Club!
First, a quick note explaining what I am talking about for anyone who does not know: The Lit Mag Reading Club is a very fun, very laid-back club where each month we read a different lit mag. At the end of the month we get together to discuss the issue, and then the editor comes to talk to us about the magazine.
This month we are reading Sewanee Review.
The less-than-perfect news is that, due to end-of-schoolyear transitions, travel, email delays and my own general internal chaos, I am late in sharing these discount codes with you. I had thought the whole issue was available for free online but I was mistaken. Many of you may have already purchased the issue or a subscription.
Please accept my apologies. And know that you’ve done good in supporting this magazine!
For those who have not yet purchased this issue, I have a pdf which I can share with Reading Club participants. If you would like this free pdf, just reply to this email and let me know. You must be a member of the Lit Mag Reading Club, i.e. a paying subscriber to Lit Mag News to obtain the pdf.
I have also been given a code for 20% off a year’s subscription. This code will expire on June 30th. The code is also for Lit Mag Reading Club members only. You can access the code at the bottom of this page:
And that’s it! We will be meeting this Sunday to discuss the issue. You can find details and register here.
If you’re new and would like to join but worry it’s too late to read the issue, don’t worry! All are welcome, whether you’ve read the entire issue cover to cover or just skimmed a few essays. I hope to see you there.
Welp, no luck for me as I already have a subscription to Sewannee, but next time I plan to score! -:)
Ah, and if I read these posts via substack and don’t get emails, how do I contact you to get a pdf. Hmmm. Off to search for your website I go….
