I have a question about a Lit Mag not mentioned in this post: Is it a normal practice for a Lit Mag to arbitrarily extend their submission deadline after the contest has closed, only citing the reasons as “if you were interested in submitting, or if anyone had unforeseen occurrences that prevented submitting.” Shouldn’t a deadline be a deadline? Shouldn’t the Lit Mag say in the rules of the contest that if they don’t receive enough submissions they’ll extend their deadline?
Ugh. Silly day job that pays the bills getting in the way of most of these dates. 🤪
Kate Finlinson (putting my name here for a chance at having Erik read and discuss my story April 17!)
Hi Becky - I am interested in Erik reading my short story. Thank you.
I would love to have Erik's guidance! Anya Johnson with a hard to place story called "The Painter." Gets fantastic feedback but no dice.
I'd like to have my story reviewed by Erik Harper Klaas in the April 17th session about where to submit.

Newbie here as far as participating. I’d like the chance to get feedback from Erik too.
Hi Becky, putting my name up for Erik’s reading and lit mag recommendations. Thanks!
