I love this story about your daughter's love of St Patrick's day. Very touching. And ... why not?

That Russian dwarf hamster is crazy cute! Like, waaaaay too cute to be alive during this, the worst timeline (shout out to other fans of Community).

Also, are you looking for suggestions for lit mags to read an issue of and also speak with the editors, Becky? If so, I would like to suggest Passager. It only publishes writers over 50, so that might knock out some of your subscribers, but with all the recent chats/comments/concerns about age-ism, I thought it would be a nice chance to look at a journal for which that is not as issue! :)

1) I would very much like to join upcoming discussions but Im not a subscriber. Im 78 and on a limited budget. I need a waiver; it doesn't even need strong hands or fingers.. I have much to offer, including a fairly encycopedic knowledge on international lit and fiction. Please dont let my lack of coin shut me out.

Also re hamsters. In the past, as a kid, we had guinea pigs. They never get irritable; hamsters get easily irrtitated. Maybe it is different with Russian hamsters and the irritation has been bred out of them by constant contact with Putin and the Russian winters. There is a story that a Russian Hamster once bit Tolstoi who bit him back. Claws and effect?

Wow. I just spent the afternoon with my 8 yr old granddaughter who is over the moon over her new Russian dwarf hamster. We are in Toronto. Are these a fad or something? Like mood rings or pet rocks? She's crazy about it. And I have to admit it is cute.
