Ho ho ho! Lit Mag Discounts Have Arrived!
Discounts on American Short Fiction, Bellevue Literary Review, & One Story
Greetings! I hope this message finds you all holly, jolly, bonnie and clyde.
I come today down your electronic chimney to deliver some lit-magical gifts. The editors of several journals have kindly offered discounts to Lit Mag Reading Club participants. Not only that, but I actually got myself organized enough to share those codes with you with ample time to order the issues. Be merry!
Here’s what we’ve got:
For January, we will be reading issue 78 of American Short Fiction.
As always, we will meet at the end of the month to discuss the issue. Editor Amanda Faraone and others will also join us to answer all our questions.
The editors have offered a 15% discount on one-year and two-year subscriptions. (Only applicable in the U.S.) You can get the discount code here.
In February, we will read Bellevue Literary Review, issue 45.
We’ll meet to discuss this issue near the end of February. Then we will be joined by Editor Stacy Bodziak and others, so we can ask all our questions.
The editors have offered a 10% discount on this issue for a digital or print subscription.
You can get the discount code here.
In March, we will be discussing One Story.
This magazine is a bit tricky because they deliver one short story every three weeks. Therefore for our reading club, we’ll discuss the stories that arrive through March, February and January.
At the end of March we will be joined with Editor Maribeth Batcha and others to discuss these issues in particular and this journal overall.
(Poets are welcome to participate in this month’s reading!)
The editors have offered us a 25% discount on a 6-month subscription. That’s six months of One Story for $7.50!
You can get that discount code here.
As a reminder, the Lit Mag Reading Club is open to every single one of you. Whether you have seven PhD’s in Comparative Literature or you dropped out of college, whether you’ve read dozens of lit mags or you’ve read none, whoever you are, whatever you write, wherever your interests lie, you are welcome here.
The Club is meant to be a fun, low-key way for us all to integrate more lit mag reading into our lives. Some months you may read a journal cover to cover. Sometimes you might not get past the first page. All good. We’re human. We’re busy. We shall do our best, read what we can, feel what we feel, learn and think alongside one another.
Our Reading Club discussions are never recorded, allowing for fun and candid conversations about the lit mags we read.
All interviews with editors are recorded and made available for Lit Mag Reading Club participants afterward.
To join the Reading Club, just sign up as paying subscriber to Lit Mag News.
As a paying subscriber you will also be able to participate in monthly info sessions, submission study halls, as well as access the full archive of this site anytime.

As always, if you have any questions or any trouble with the order links above, drop me a line anytime.
Otherwise, I hope to see you soon!
Thanks, Becky! I ordered ASF. It’s like a mini Christmas for me every time a new lit mag comes in the mail.
Would I have to subscribe to these lit mags in order to participate? If so that could be expensive.
Difficult too cause I live in Mexico City.
